Athleta and Warby Parker Partner with D.R.E.W. Projects to Donate Feminine Hygiene Kits

Happy 2022, everyone! The D.R.E.W. Projects team hopes you all enjoyed the holidays with those you love and serve. We have some great news to share with you.

Athleta

Our friends at Athleta in El Segundo, California, partnered with D.R.E.W. Projects to dedicate hygiene kits for their Giving Tuesday donations. The Athleta team collected hygiene items from customers to donate to non-profit organizations we partner with that serve women and girls experiencing homelessness. The D.R.E.W. Projects team is proud to announce that our organization will dedicate over 100 hygiene essentials collected by Athleta for Giving Tuesday to the village family services T.A.Y. Drop-in Center in North Hollywood, California. This non-profit organization's Transition Age Youth Drop-In Center works to empower at-risk, foster, L.G.B.T.Q. and homeless youth ages 14-25.

Warby Parker

Giving is contagious-and in a good way. Our new friends at the Warby Parker store in Silver Lake, California, reached out to D.R.E.W. Projects to donate feminine hygiene kits. Apryle and I met with MaryAnne, who helped collect feminine hygiene essentials or items for general use and packaged ten complete kits that we donated to women and girls who visit the village family services T.A.Y. Drop-in Center in North Hollywood. These kits were ideal for homeless youth who needed hygiene items on the go. Thank you to the entire Warby Parker team for your kind donation.

We want to thank Lindsay, Jocelyn, the entire Athleta team, and customers for thinking about women and girls experiencing homelessness for these collective efforts. Moreover, we want to thank MaryAnne and the team at Warby Parker for taking ACTION. Lastly, we want to thank Claudia and the crew at the village family services T.A.Y. Drop-in Center for assisting with the drop-off of resources. ~Ape and Adge
